The 8,000 BTU cools rooms up to about 250 sq ft, like a bedroom or office. The 10,000 BTU cools rooms up to about 350 sq ft, like a living room or open space.
What windows does the kit fit?
The included window kit fits vertical or horizontal sliding windows with an opening from 25.5 to 47 in.
Do I have to empty water?
In cool mode most moisture leaves through the exhaust hose. In dry mode or on very humid days, drain it by hand or connect the included drain hose for continuous draining. It shuts off on its own if the tank is full.
How much moisture does dry mode remove?
Up to 40 pints a day for the 8,000 BTU and 51 pints a day for the 10,000 BTU, depending on how humid the room is.
Does it need a special outlet?
No. It plugs into a standard 115 V household outlet. Plug it straight into the wall rather than an extension cord.
How loud is it?
About 54 dB for the 8,000 BTU and 55 dB for the 10,000 BTU, and sleep mode keeps it calm at night.
