Only if you want to. Empty the 1.6-gallon tank by its handle, or connect the included 3.3 ft hose for nonstop drainage. It shuts off automatically when full.
What are the modes?
Auto holds the humidity you set from 30% to 80%, Continuous runs nonstop, and Sleep runs quietly overnight. Two fan speeds and a 24-hour timer.
